Description
Shield's zero-trust philosophy applies to both inbound and outbound messages. As with inbound messages, if Shield detects issues with outbound messages that result in a Moderate or High risk level, the message will be held for review. This is to ensure that the Shield user intended to send the message that Shield identified as risky.
Outbound Messages Held for Review
A message titled Messages you sent were held for review will be sent to the Shield user soon after a message is held to inform the user that a message needs to be reviewed.
From within the message click on Review now to open the Sent Messages Pending Review page, which shows a list of all held messages that can either be released for delivery or unsent. Clicking on:
- Deliver brings the user to the Multi-Factor Authentication page to authorize that the user is the one releasing the message for delivery.
- Unsend simply removes the message from Spotlight and the message no longer appears on the review list.
- Clear All removes the messages from the review list but takes no action on the messages.
