Configuring Bracket in the Mailprotector Console

Description

Bracket is configured differently depending on whether it is a stand-alone deployment, combined with CloudFilter, or combined with Shield zero-trust email security. This article discusses how Bracket is configured as a stand-alone product or combined with CloudFilter.

For Shield organizations, please see Enabling Bracket with Shield.

Enable or disable Allow users to change their settings for the additional options in this section.

Enable or disable Export to inbox. When enabled, users can export Bracket messages which are then no longer encrypted.

Enable or disable Subjection protection. When enabled, the subject of the encrypted message is hidden in the notification sent to the recipient.

Enable or disable Open notifications. When enabled, the sender of the Bracket message will receive a notification when the recipient opens the message for the first time. This does not inform the sender when or if the message is received; it only informs the sender when it is opened.
