Description
This article provides the steps for adding a not-for-resale or customer domain to Shield.
Shield is not compatible with GoDaddy's Microsoft 365 (M365) offering. GoDaddy provides a restricted, locked-down M365 experience that limits full administrative access to the tenant. As such, we are unable to support M365 on GoDaddy at this time. We recommend that partners assist their clients in defederating their domain from GoDaddy and implementing M365 either directly or through a distributor such as PAX8 or Sherweb. If you're unfamiliar with the defederation process, we suggest reaching out to PAX8 or Sherweb for further guidance.
Starting the Shield setup will put high-level protections in place and the Review and Bundled Folders, but it won’t take action on emails that don’t contain High-Risk threats until you’ve completed the setup. If an email is held in Jail that is required before Shield is activated, you can release it utilizing Spotlight. Please open a ticket if you experience any other issues.
Add a Domain to Shield
Follow the steps below in the order they are presented.
The reseller domain is the Not-for-Resale domain. All other domains are customers to the reseller.
1. Perform all Pre-flight Checklist items: Not-for-Resale (NFR) domain | all other domains. This step is essential to a smooth Shield onboarding.
2. Start Shield activation: Not-for-Resale (NFR) domain | all other domains.
3. Complete the 3-step Shield Deployment process.
Once all steps are complete you will be signed into Shield Control to begin using Shield.
