User Health Check

Description

The User Health Check validates that a user's mailbox is correctly integrated with Shield and that all required security components are functioning as expected. It performs a series of diagnostic checks to identify configuration issues that could prevent Shield from protecting the user's email.

What the Health Check Verifies

  • Inbound Mail Routing
Confirms that incoming email for the user is being routed through Shield's security infrastructure before it reaches the mailbox.
  • Outbound Mail Routing
Verifies that messages sent by the user are routed through Shield for outbound scanning and policy enforcement before leaving the organization.
  • Microsoft Graph Change Notification Subscriptions
Ensures that the required Microsoft Graph subscriptions are active, allowing Shield to receive real-time notifications about mailbox events and respond immediately to new messages and changes.
  • Shield Mailbox Folders
Confirms that Shield's special folders are created in the user's mailbox to organize security-related messages and provide easy access to quarantined or filtered items.
  • Shield Mailbox Rules
Verifies that the mailbox rules created by Shield are present and functioning correctly to automatically process and organize messages according to Shield's security policies.

Health Status

Each component is evaluated independently and assigned a status:

  • Healthy – The component is correctly configured and operating normally.
  • Warning or Unhealthy (if applicable) – The component requires attention. Selecting the item provides additional details to help identify and resolve the issue.
