Your Profile

Description

Your Profile shows personal details Shield imported from a user's Microsoft account and their Shield-specific preferences. Users can customize their Shield experience from here. Shield Admins access this page from the Configure Preferences menu of the User Page.

Profile Options

Imported from Microsoft

This information is imported directly from your Microsoft 365 and cannot be changed here. The Microsoft 365 account changes can then be synchronized with Shield here.

Preferences

Customize Shield's behavior at the user level. Note that additional preferences are only visible to Shield Admins.

Bundler "Done" Action

Bundler is a Shield Pro feature. Choose the action for an Inbox message to take once it is read in the Shield Portal: Mark as Read, Move to Archive, or Move to Trash.

Default Silence Destination

When a message is silenced, it will go to this location unless you choose a different location: Jail in Shield Portal or Junk, Trash, or Archive in the mail client.

X-ray Safe Preview

When a Heads-up Display is clicked in the mail client, or a message from a Spotlight search is clicked in the Shield Portal, the X-ray view of the message opens. By default, Show content unless it's potentially bad is selected. Other choices are Always hide content, and Always show content.

Time Zone

Change the time zone to local time to see message details in local time.

New Sender Banner

When a message from a new sender is received a New Sender banner appears at the top of the message. Users can choose to Enable or Disable this banner.

Filtering

Clicking on Manage risk levels brings the user to their security risk levels.

Control Settings

These settings are only visible to Shield Superusers and Administrators in Control Mode, for themselves and for other users.

Experience Level

Set whether a user is a:

  • Beginner: Requires veto review for all Jailed messages, both inbound and outbound.
  • Intermediate: Requires veto review for inbound Jailed messages.
  • Expert: Doesn't require to veto a Jailed message.

Heads Up Display (HUD)

Set whether HUDs are enabled or disabled for the user:

  • Enabled: Enable HUDs at the top of emails.
  • Disabled: Disable showing HUDs.

Protection Level

Set a user's protection level to:

  • Maximum Protection: Normal filtering for most people.
  • Minimum: Only high-risk messages are filtered.
  • Passthrough: No filtering is performed.

Email Guides

Welcome Emails are automatically sent to each user during Shield onboarding. Click on Send welcome email to resend the Welcome Email if the user needs a new copy.
