Description
If a customer decides not to use Shield, the service must be removed from the M365 tenant and the partner's Mailprotector account.
CRITICAL: Do not delete Shield from the M365 enterprise apps list! The app is necessary to complete the offboarding correctly. You will be instructed when deleting the enterprise app is safe.
How to offboard
Start by opening a support request with the Partner Success team.
Offboarding from Shield requires the removal of M365 tenant configurations, some DNS changes, and a process that the Mailprotector DevOps team must run to remove rules, HUD elements, and other items that may be affecting the status of an email. Offboarding cannot be completed without Mailprotector's assistance.
We want to refine and improve the offboarding to make it self-service in the future.
