Options for connecting email clients to CloudMail
In most cases, Mailprotector recommends connecting email clients via secure IMAP. IMAP connections leave email data on the server, allowing a user's devices to synchronize emails' read and unread status.
Manually connecting email clients to CloudMail is the most common method.

Autodiscover Configuration Settings
Autodiscover allows a user to configure email accounts by entering their email address and password. The remaining configuration is handled automatically. Mailprotector publishes the Autodiscover XML information; however, very few email clients support auto-configuration of IMAP and POP3 via the Autodiscover process.
The Autodiscover process is an option if the email client supports checking SRV records from the domain's DNS settings. If you need assistance in configuring your domain's SRV record, please reference Configuring an SRV Record.
WARNING: The following email clients do not support the Autodiscover feature with CloudMail:
Microsoft Outlook 2016, 2019
Microsoft Outlook for Office 365
Microsoft Outlook for Mac
Microsoft Outlook App for mobile devices
Mozilla Thunderbird
Any native mobile email clients (Apple iOS Mail, Android Email)
