Description
SecureStore can be added to a domain to archive all email messages that pass through Mailprotector. Both Inbound and Outbound Mail Routes must be configured to relay mail through Mailprotector. To ensure that intra-domain messages are also archived, a journaling route must be created in Google Workspace.
Prerequisites
The SecureStore product must already be enabled in the Mailprotector Console for the intended domain. If you have not enabled SecureStore in the Console, you will not have access to the journaling address needed to complete the internal sending configuration steps.
To configure SecureStore for a Google Workspace domain, all steps from the articles Google Workspace Inbound Mail Routes as well as Google Workspace Outbound Mail Routes must already be completed.
Configure Internal Sending Through Mailprotector
To implement SecureStore archiving, add a second mail route for internal messages.
-
Go to the Google Admin Console and click on Apps. Select Google Workspace then Gmail. Click on Routing. Click on ADD ANOTHER RULE.
- The Add setting window will open. Enter a description such as Internal Sending through Mailprotector.
- In the Email messages to affect field, select Internal – Sending.
- In the Modify Message section, select Change Route then Outbound Mailprotector Route.
- Scroll to the bottom of the Add setting window and expand Show options.
- Under Account Types to Affect, select Users.
- Under Envelope Filter, select Only affect specific envelope senders. Choose Pattern match, then enter your domain as the Regexp.
- Select SAVE to apply the changes.
