CloudMail and XtraMail Webmail Interface Upgrade

Description

The third-party webmail interface for CloudMail and XtraMail was upgraded on September 22, 2025 to comply with the database updates required by Amazon Web Services, our data storage and infrastructure provider, before October 1, 2025.

Recommendation

At this time there are several issues identified when accessing the new version of the web interface. Because of this, we strongly suggest that users switch from using webmail.cloudmail.email to a mail client that includes management of the features presented below.

Changes to the Web Interface

At this time, there is no custom branding applied to the web interface. It will state that the user is accessing Roundcube Webmail.

Once signed in to the web interface, the view of the mail is similar to but different from the previous web interface.

For more information about how to use the new web interface, please refer to the Roundcube documentation at this time.

Outstanding Issues

Contacts, Signatures, and Calendar

The following information was not migrated from the previous database to the new database:

  • Contacts
  • Signatures
  • Calendar
    • We suggest signing into webmail1.cloudmail.email to view calendar items for manual copy to another calendar product as there is no calendar export feature available.  This must be performed before October 31, 2025.

Amazon Web Services may forcefully update the database used by the old webmail interface, and testing has shown that the interface will have several broken functions. Please ensure all contacts are exported and calendar items manually copied on or before September 30, 2025

XtraMail Outbound Mail

When attempting to send messages while signed in to webmail.xtramail.email some users are experiencing the error SMTP Error (): Connection to server failed. At this time we recommend signing into webmail2.xtramail.email which allows for successful sending of messages.
