XtraMail - Setting user passwords

Description

Before your users can access their XtraMail messages via webmail, POP, or IMAP they must have passwords configured. You can do this once the users need to access XtraMail, or ahead of time so that the password is in place before an incident happens where they need XtraMail.

How To Set An Individual User's Password

  1. Under the domain that the user is under, navigate to the Users tab.
  2. Select the user that you would like to set up a password for.
  3. Select the ellipsis icon on the far right-hand side to edit the User Profile.mceclip0.png
  4. Input the password you would like to set the password to or click the slider to generate an automatic password
  5. Select Save.

How To Mass Reset Passwords:

Written Directions:

  1. From the domain you're setting up navigate to the Users tab.
  2. Select the checkbox at the top of the list to select all the users on that page. If there are more then 50 users under the domain, click on select all.mceclip2.png
  3. Select the Key icon to open up the password reset window.mceclip3.png
  4. Input the desired password or automatically generate a password for your users. If the users want to set their own password, they can log in using the temporary one set here and then change their password to something more secure in their profile.
