Description
Dropsuite is a third-party data backup and disaster recovery solution offered for purchase via Mailprotector. When purchased through Mailprotector, Dropsuite is only available for Microsoft 365 tenants and is not currently available for Google Workspace domains.
Overview
Once Dropsuite is enabled for a domain in the Mailprotector Console, a Dropsuite tab will be visible at the Reseller level to show information about the Reseller login.
Billing
Mailprotector bills a Reseller for any domain users configured to use the product within the Mailprotector Console.
Mailprotector Console Setup
A Dropsuite tab is available at the Reseller level. Ensure that the Dropsuite account status indicates Account creation successful. If not, please contact Partner Success for assistance. This tab also provides the Dropsuite website for login and your Administrator login credentials. Note that these credentials are only valid until you change the password in the Dropsuite portal.
Reseller
Domain
A separate Dropsuite tab is available at the domain level. Ensure that the Dropsuite account status indicates Account creation successful. If not, please contact Partner Success for assistance. The Dropsuite website is provided here, as well as the unique journaling address for the domain. This unique address is provided for third-party applications you wish to journal. All mail sent via Mailprotector is automatically archived.
Connecting to Microsoft 365
Mailprotector is ready and able to assist you with setting up Microsoft 365 with Dropsuite backups, as outlined in the Dropsuite documentation.
By default, Dropsuite automatically creates a journal rule and distribution group and adds mailboxes to be Archived as members of that distribution group.
