Removing a Domain or Customer from your account

Shield customers must be offboarded from Shield before they are removed from the Mailprotector Console. Contact Support for assistance with the Shield offboarding process.

Before removing a domain from your Reseller account in the Mailprotector Console, please confirm that:

  • any Mailprotector Connectors and Rules (Microsoft 365) or Routing and Rules (Google Workspace) have been disabled and removed.
  • the domain's MX records have been changed to their new value(s) and are fully propagated.

If connectors and rules are not disabled, and the MX record is not changed to the new mail provider, emails will continue to be routed to Mailprotector mail servers and will be bounced once the domain is removed/canceled from your account.

To remove the domain you will need to:

  1. Go to emailservice.io and log into the console.
  2. Navigate to the domain you wish to remove.
  3. Ensure the MX records are no longer pointing at Mailprotector by looking at the "Overview" page.

Removing a Customer is the same process but at the Customer level. All domains will need to be removed from under the customer level before a full customer can be deleted.
