Android Device Configuration for Exchange 2016

Hosted Exchange & Android

The Android OS natively supports Exchange mail. Your Android device should have the "Email" application preinstalled. If it is not on your home screen, you should be able to find it in your Applications screen.



Configuring your Hosted Exchange account on your Android phone

From your Home screen, open your list of applications, and then run 'Email'.

If you have no other accounts set up, you will be prompted to create a new one right away, otherwise, select Menu > Accounts.


When prompted, select the Exchange account type.




Type in your email address and password, then click Next.


Ensure your settings match this template:

Domain/Username: <Your email address>

Password: <Your email password>


Port: 443

Once these settings are configured, click Next.

Click 'OK' at this "Remote Security Administration" warning.



Configure your preferred settings for the account on this screen, and then click 'Next'



The final step is to name the account. This name can be anything you like, and is used to identify this account on your phone.


Your phone may notify you of a security setting update requirement (shown below). Simply click "Activate" to begin using your new mail account.
