How Do I Manually Connect Microsoft Outlook to My Exchange 2016 Server?

Note: We highly recommend using Autodiscover to configure your email clients. Configuring manually can have negative side effects (including loss of Out of Office functionality and other collaboration issues).

Outlook 2016 (POP & IMAP only)

Microsoft Outlook 2016 does not allow for manual configuration of Exchange accounts unless you are using IMAP or POP3. We recommend using the Autodiscover setup in the link above.

Outlook 2010/2013 (not recommended)

We recommend using Outlook 2016 with Autodiscover setup for Exchange 2016 servers. Older versions of Outlook will lose compatibility over time and may not always function properly with Exchange 2016.

If you are unable to use Outlook 2016 and must use an older version of Outlook, we still recommend Autodiscover setup. However, you can follow these instructions for manually connecting Outlook to Exchange 2013, with one adjustment for 2016.

Note: In step 6 you will need to change the proxy server to use exchange.emailservice.io.
